Philly Cheese Steak Sloppy Joes
Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 1 small green bell pepper, diced
- 8 oz. brown mushrooms, minced
- 2 Tbsp. ketchup
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. Kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp. fresh ground black pepper
- 1 tsp. cornstarch
- 1 cup beef broth
- 8 oz. Fieldgate Provolone Cheese, chopped
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet
- Once cooked, remove the beef, and set aside. Add the butter, onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms and cook until softened.
- Add the beef back into the pan.
- In a small cup mix the beef broth and cornstarch together.
- Add the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and beef broth/cornstarch mixture into the pan.
- Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until most of the liquid has been absorbed.
- Turn off the heat and add in the provolone cheese.
- Served on buns.
