Philly Cheese Steak Sloppy Joes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, diced
  • 8 oz. brown mushrooms, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. Kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp. fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 8 oz. Fieldgate Provolone Cheese, chopped

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet
  2. Once cooked, remove the beef, and set aside. Add the butter, onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms and cook until softened.
  3. Add the beef back into the pan.
  4. In a small cup mix the beef broth and cornstarch together.
  5. Add the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and beef broth/cornstarch mixture into the pan.
  6. Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until most of the liquid has been absorbed.
  7. Turn off the heat and add in the provolone cheese.
  8. Served on buns.
